When I first heard we'd been nominated as a Guys that Give recipient it was emotional, but in a really great way; to know your community is there for you is a huge blessing. One of the biggest way we've been able to use the money is to stay in a hotel in Toronto the night before a Sick Kids appointment. It reduces the rush and stress the day of, and we're very thankful.

Cope Service Dogs

Received:

$5,100.00

COPE Service Dogs is very thankful to Guys That Give for their wonderful donation that we received to help us with our veterinary costs. As well as keeping all our dogs in good health with regular veterinary care, four months ago, one of well-loved dogs was rushed to a hospital with life-threatening condition. A costly, major surgery was performed. Thanks to the Guys That Give donation, this dog is healthy and back helping many in need!

Women and Childrens Shelter

Received:

$4,100.00

We are honoured to be the inaugural charity supported by the Guys that Give. Their commitment to helping others in our community is remarkable and their donation to our organization was a big help this year. Our shelter is 25 years old and some of the rooms are quite worn out. Their donation helped to transform our Resource Room from a tired and literally cold space (there was no insulation!) to a warm and inviting one. This space is very important for our residents to do various tasks that help them get back on their feet. They use the computer and internet to find accommodation, do their homework, stay in touch with friends and family and play games. It is also a place where residents can go to get away from the hustle and bustle of the other communal living spaces, like the lounge or the kitchen. Thank you Guys that Give for fixing up our Resource Room and making it a more comfortable place that the women and children enjoy being in!
